Another injury

Regular readers of this blog have come to expect an occasional (seems pretty frequent lately!) injury of Lukas. On our way out the door this morning, he put his finger in the hinge side of the door jamb, and I didn't notice it and closed (partly) the front door on his fingers.

Lots of crying and screaming for a few minutes, lots of hugging. I blew on his fingers and he told me to stop, but later in the car when he said they still hurt, I suggested blowing on them and he did for a while. Of course, he won't let me put a cold pack on them. Later in the day he told me the fingers felt funny. I asked him if they felt tingly, and he said yes (who knows!)

He was still feeling the pinch by the end of the day, but obviously much improved. Tom and I have caught him a couple times putting his fingers in the door jamb, and explained to him that it would hurt very much if we were to shut the door on his fingers. Something tells me he might not do this again anytime soon...I think this injury has been his most painful ever.
