Lukas had an accident this morning and announced "We have to go back to diapers." Not gonna happen! Since he's going through underwear more than once a day, we had to go to Wal-Mart to increase the size of his underwear collection: more Cars, Sponge Bob, Superman, etc.
During our walks in the morning, Lukas identifies every sprinkler he sees, and every fire hydrant. The latest thing he has discovered is the 12" square vaults for the water meters that are near the street at every house...so now he says "there's a water meter!" I've come to the conclusion that Lukas' fascination with all things water (sprinklers, hydrants, meters, toilets) comes from the in utero experience he had while I was at the Orange County Water District. I gave a lot of presentations about water, specifically the Groundwater Replenishment System, which is a joint project with the Orange County Sanitation District, so he heard "sanitation district" a lot too.
