Yesterday afternoon Lukas had a slight runny nose and overnight it turned into the title of this post. He's not coughing, so that's a blessing, and his attitude has improved! Natalie and Tom and I are healthy so far. Two therapy appointments were cancelled by the therapists (the one at CHOC is still on) so that will make an easier day all the way around.
Lukas is doing ok with the potty. He still sometimes refuses to go when I suggest it, but I can make him go more easily than last week (maybe the "you'll get sick" comment had an impact). We've got the carrot and the stick approach going with him. The carrots are: a sticker every day he's dry and a new Thomas and Friends engine for every three stickers (three days). The sticks are: no apple juice and no television (no videos, etc) on the days he is wet. He has said "we have to go back to diapers" once in the past week, but without much expectance. We aren't going back...we're only moving forward. He is doing well, I think we just expect more of him because he is so verbal and we know he understands and can get to the bathroom in time, he just doesn't want to stop what he's doing.
