Today we were rushed to get ready and out the door for church, so we didn't feed her by mouth until this afternoon and this evening. Once you get used to tube feedings, they are so easy...feeding her by mouth can take 45 minutes, and we still have to give her liquids by tube.
Tom fed her both times by mouth today. This evening we thickened the baby puree with baby oatmeal. The new consistency took a bit for her to get used to it and then she liked it a lot. Sometimes with thicker foods she grimaces like I would if I tasted something sour. She's a ham for the camera, so if she sees me, she immediately turns and smiles. Here's a semi-action shot from this evening. Praise God that she continues to improve...her recent improvements have been lightning speed for Natalie, compared to her improvement over the previous 13 months.
