Natalie did great in swallowing therapy today. She ate about 3 ounces of baby food and drank about an ounce of milk (greatly estimated, since most of the milk she put in her mouth was spit out). Sarah (therapist) used a thingy that is a honey bear with a plastic tube coming out the top, so she can squeeze the milk up in the tube to Natalie's mouth, and eventually Natalie learns to suck a straw. She only introduced it yesterday and by the end of the session today Natalie was doing great...albeit a lot of spitting out, but she got the concept of sucking on a straw.
Such a tiring session for her, here's a pic of what she did shortly after we got home.
