We started the week with a regular therapy schedule. Natalie did ok, but not great. She is more fussy than normal during her physical therapy, and she is less willing to eat by mouth than normal during her swallowing therapy. All this is to be expected when recovering from illness, it's just hard that illness disrupts her development.
She's very smiley, but the chest cough continues to be hard on her. This evening she threw up most of her dinner after a coughing fit. This sickness hasn't been as bad as some before she started swallowing therapy...she's only thrown up a few times. The coughing now is completely different than anything she's experienced before, but it still gets her gag reflex going. Tom was the super daddy tonight, cleaning her up since I had run to the store when she got sick. I came back to find he had everything under control...but he has a glimpse of what my days are like, with one kid sick and another kid banging on everything so you can't hear yourself think, or some other similarly frustrating juxtapose.
