Tonight I was playing blocks with Lukas and I reached over and gave him a nose kiss (nose to nose). I guess I hadn't done this in a long time (it's more something I do to babies, so I guess Natalie's getting all the nose kisses these days), because Lukas laughed, looked at me, then got up and grabbed my nose so he could nose kiss me back.

I have been periodically reading your blog for a while now. i so enjoy the kids and all they do. You seem so good with them too. I have no children at home anymore they are grown and i have 7 grandsons which I adore.
But reading your blog brings back so many memories of my kids and the gkids when they were smaller. The youngest just turned 6.
I have always allowed and encouraged my children and gkids to help in the kitchen and I have twos sons who are really good cooks and even the grandkids love it. I had me a small apron made that says "grandmas little prep cook"
I start them out small and let them wash vegs or get me the milk out of the fridge, i need that big bowl on the shelf, find me the big spoon. spell pepper for them and have him find it. or look for the green beans in the pantry.
Sorry to rattle on but I loved it so and I know they did too. They are bigger now but whenever they come over they ask if there is anything I need help with. They are eager beavers to learn.
Enjoy it all you can.
Thanks for your very kind comments!
