Lukas did ok with quiet time in the guest room. He worked on getting used to the new distractions in that room and the concept that the only things he can do during quiet time are sleep and read (he asked for a toy several times). Considering he's sick, he did well. Nope, I didn't actually fall asleep, although I tried for a little while
But his quiet time was cut a little short to take both kids to the pediatrician. She said they're both doing ok right now, but we need to watch their temperatures (fevers the last two days) and Lukas might be getting an ear infection. And, as always, we have to watch Natalie's breathing.
Lukas didn't sleep the whole afternoon, then fell asleep on the way to the doctor, then fell asleep again on the way home. I put him in bed and he slept until we woke him for dinner. Poor guy!
After dinner we introduced the kids to John Denver. Lukas especially liked the guitar parts.
Natalie had been eating well by mouth until yesterday. You have to breathe while you're eating, and if she has a hard time breathing, she stops eating. Today I tried to feed her once and she only took very little, so we just fed her by tube the rest of the day.
Hopefully tonight will be a better night (Lukas coughed almost the whole night last night)...and tomorrow is another day!
