Stuff he said

Here are funny things Lukas said today:

While Caryn, Natalie's physical therapist was here, Lukas ate a carrot: "Carrot...that rhymes with Caryn."

At CHOC, when I asked Lukas to tell Sarah where we're going camping this week: "In the desert, like Moses."

During Sesame Street, when Elmo's World comes on, Lukas runs away and asks, "Is it the scary one?" Today, it was "the scary one"...I was surprised because "the scary one" only aired a few weeks ago, and here it is again. Lukas is scared of the animated tornado with eyes (looks like a twirling piece of steel wool) that comes on when Elmo talks about the weather. Lukas calls it "the spinner." Now, this is odd, because usually Lukas is fascinated with things that spin. He calls a lot of things "a spinner", but the scary spinner is the tornado on Elmo's World. I sat with him and told him when he should stay in the hallway, and when the spinner was gone and it was safe to come out. Now for another month or more he will leave during Elmo's World until he's sure the spinner isn't coming.
