Two steps foward...

Lukas had been dry the past two days in a row (which he's never done before), but today he had an accident. Except we don't think he does it on accident. We think it's really a control issue with him...Lukas will have to go, but resist when we suggest if he's not in the mood. But he will keep himself dry when it suits him. Tonight we left him in his wet pants for dinner, then Lukas helped Tom bring the trash cans in and we thought the cold air would be a training tool, but Tom said Lukas just shivered and didn't really know why. We might change the reward system to give him more incentive to stay dry each day, but usually what happens is he likes the reward the first couple times, but after that he can't be bothered to stay dry. Time will tell! I keep telling myself that he won't be doing this at age 10, but hopefully it will stop a lot sooner.
