Ok, we remembered everything today! It works much more smoothly when the kids are nearly done with their dinner by the time Tom comes home. One more week of this!
Lukas and Natalie both love "Humpty Dumpty" in the pool. They sit on the edge of the pool, we say "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall!" and then dunk them in the water. Well, some parents let their kids have their heads above the water, but, hey, this is swimming lessons, right? So our kids get dunked and they both love it. I was unsure about Natalie, since she can't speak, but I asked her "more?" with words and sign, and she keeps signing "more" after every dunking...so we give her more! She laughs like crazy.
There might be too many bath toys at the pool. At the end of the lesson, Lukas was more interested in playing with the bath toys than in practicing swimming positions, so Tom and I will have a talk with him before lessons next week.
