Baby update

So now I go to visit the OB once a week, and Monday is the day, and today is Monday!

The update is that the OB doesn't think the baby will come within the next week, which is good because last night I thought the baby might come today (uncomfortable but not painful contractions for several hours...sort of similar to an 18-hour event the week before). He said the baby is measuring big (37.5 cm, when I'm just over 36 weeks) but everything looks good. Thanks to Irene coming over, I left the kids at home and my blood pressure was correspondingly lower.

So it looks like we will make it through Thanksgiving and our wedding anniversary without a peep. Thanks for your continued prayers that the baby arrives in December!

Even though this is our third child (you'd think I'd be an expert at this by now!) I am still uncertain about what signs would send us to the hospital, outside of my water breaking, since my water broke early with both Lukas and Natalie. The doctor said painful contractions (which I haven't had) are a good sign, and that I'd probably continue to have these non-labor contractions.
