Three weeks!

Konrad had his two-week check up today. Yes, he's three weeks old, but, hey, why take three kids to the doctor last week by myself when we could do it today, Tom and me together? We were very efficient, with Tom taking Natalie to get her two-year blood test while I took Konrad to his check up...Tom's was definitely the more difficult assignment, but he and Natalie came out of it fine.

Konrad weighed 11 pounds today and was 23.5 inches long. Everyone at the doctor's office was oohing and aahing over his size, but it's no big deal to us, since Lukas grew at a similarly fast rate (we already did the bragging over Lukas' growth rate as first-time parents, so hopefully we'll be more humble now about Konrad's). It was so odd to sit down with our pediatrician and have her ask me if I had any concerns about Konrad...no, I don't! The oddity is that my relationship with her has been built on many visits to discuss Natalie's issues and which specialists she should see and what we should be on the look out for...this was a very different visit!
