Creative ways to kill 90 minutes

Natalie's Monday therapy is at the clinic. Lukas is very helpful in carrying her diaper bag in, since I have to carry Natalie and Konrad. After we drop her off, Lukas, Konrad and I have to come up with something to do until she's done at 10 a.m., because Lukas would go bonkers just waiting in the waiting room.

Before Konrad was born, Lukas and I would shop at Trader Joe's or Old Navy, or go to a nearby park. Today was still wet from the recent rains, so we went to a bookstore. I nursed Konrad in the car until the bookstore opened, then we spent 30 minutes in the kid's section (where I found a new Kumon book for Lukas to practice his letters with and Lukas was fascinated with many books WE ALREADY HAVE!) and then went downstairs to find a space-themed calendar for the kids' room. After we paid, I was ready to go to the car, but Lukas said, "I'm hungry, Mom," knowing that we often stop for a treat on Mondays when we are killing time.

We went to the Starbucks in the bookstore and shared a kid's milk and a chocolate donut. Then we went back to the clinic where we received the great report posted below!

I'm still working on planning ahead for necessary shopping during this time...hopefully next week will be drier and warmer so we can just go to a park.
