Thanks for your prayers for Natalie. Tom took her to the outpatient procedure today since I'm breastfeeding Konrad and we decided it was a good time for him to have a turn taking her in! She came through the procedure fine. She wasn't allowed to eat this morning (I gave her 4 ounces of apple juice in her tube when she woke up at 6:30 am and that was all she got until after the procedure, which started at 11 am). Tom said she was fussy because she was hungry, but she still found the energy to charm the nurses with her smile and friendliness.
Natalie's pressures were 17 in each eye while under anesthesia, which was higher than the doctor expected to see. 10-20 is normal without anesthesia, but anesthesia lowers the eye pressure, so he was expecting to see readings closer to 10.

So Natalie will start on eye drops twice a day to lower the pressure; she'll see the doctor in his office in 6 weeks; and then she'll repeat the same test as today in 3 months. It's disappointing to have inconclusive results, but we're still hopeful she doesn't have glaucoma. The good news is that her lens prescription hasn't changed very much in the past 3 months.
Thanks again for your prayers.
