Our Mother's Day Celebration

The kids surprised me with a fun gift this morning: a floppy hat for gardening and/or the beach and long gloves to prune my roses...guess this is a reminder that I need to get out there and prune those roses now that they're blooming!

This afternoon we visited Tom's parents, and Tom made dinner for us, which was quite delicious. Lukas was VERY MUCH looking forward to celebrating "Happy Mother's Day" with them (suddenly the titles of the holidays have become Happy New Year, Happy Easter and Happy Mother's Day.) Here are some fun pictures of the visit: Natalie was a star at making everyone smile; Konrad had a fun conversation with Tom's dad (after practicing his happy shrieks...difficult to capture on still photos but I might post a video); and Lukas was outside playing for much of the time, so the only picture of him that we captured was of him thoughtfully eating a popsicle BEFORE the ice cream dessert (Tom's mom wants to spoil him by giving him popsicle and ice cream every time we visit).

I hope your Happy Mother's Day was as special as ours!
