While Christmas shopping tonight I overheard a family discussing the purchase of an educational toy that collects bugs by sucking them up like a vacuum.
Older boy about ten: "Mom he already broke the one he got for his birthday."
Younger boy about eight: "But Mom I can suck up bugs, like cockroaches!"

oh the thought of that just makes my skin crawl! We don't have roaches here (usually they stay near the big city) but we did experience them the one year we lived in Arizona.
