Excited to taste it

Lukas was very excited to try artichokes. He's asked several times to buy them when he sees them in the store, and I finally bought a package of four. Then I had to remember to prepare them! I ended up remembering too late to have them as an appetizer before dinner, but they were ready after dinner.

I served them with garlic butter, and Tom and I thought they were delish. Lukas only tried it three times and then decided he didn't like them. Natalie got the hang of scraping the meat off the leaves with her bottom teeth, but also didn't want to have more than a few. Konrad wasn't interested at all.

Oh well...with melted butter they're a little messy to have kids eating them, anyway. I'll try it again in a few years.
