Belly and Eyes

Monday Natalie saw her GI doctor as a follow up to the removal of her g-tube. The stoma has closed and healed well, but there's just a teensy weensy bit that isn't healing properly. The GI doctor explained it as mucous membrane that is on the outside when it should be on the inside. It's only about the size of the head of a pin, but it does weep a little bit, so we'll have it taken care of the next time she's under anesthesia.

Today she saw her ophthalmologist, who said we should plan on checking her eyes under anesthesia again in three months...so now we know when her belly will get taken care of. Now I just need to make sure she sees the ENT first, so if there's an issue with her ear tubes, it can all be taken care of at the same time.
