Today was Natalie's last day of school! Yesterday we celebrated by going to Disneyland (today was the last day we could go before the blackout dates on our passes, and we didn't want Natalie to miss her last day of school).
Each child got a "best" award. Natalie's was "best dressed"! Here's a picture with her teacher, Miss Stacie, who we anticipate will be her teacher next year as well.
We're not putting Natalie in summer school because it won't be at her current school, it won't be her current teacher, we don't know who will be in the class...and because of our travels this summer, she would only be in class about 10 days. So why go through the transition for only 10 days?
She will still have PT at the clinic, and I'm hopeful that she'll still get speech therapy if I take her to the school just for that...we're working to get that arranged.
I've talked to her a lot the past few days about this being her last day of school, and she'll take a break for a few months and then come back to see Miss Stacie. I don't know how much she understands, or how much she will miss school, but I know she'll be glad to go back! And we'll enjoy having her home with us the whole summer!
