Happy Fourth of July to everyone...American, that is...I know it's just another day of the year for the rest of the world. I'm dating this the 4th of July, even though I'm posting it the next day (it's fun being able to do that on a blog!)
For the verbal child in our home (although Natalie and Konrad are rapidly gaining verbal skills!) the 4th of July is a favorite holiday because of the fireworks. For the first few 4ths of his life, Lukas didn't like the loud noise of the fireworks, but now he's hooked and he eagerly anticipates buying and lighting fireworks.
We had friends Ray, Cheryl, Bethany, Brennan and Miranda over for water slide, barbecued beef dinner and fireworks. It was so fun to share this special day with friends! We are thankful for the 233rd birthday of our country.
Miranda enjoying the swing...
Brennan sneaking up on Lukas and neighbor Natalie...Konrad still likes his helmet, and this is what Doritos and cherries look like when you smear them on your face, I mean put them in your belly, at the same time...
Doris gave Natalie and Konrad a bath and they're in their pajamas, ready for the show...
Brennan and Lukas watched the "snake" fireworks grow...
The concertmaster...
Natalie and Konrad were a little too cold in the PJs I picked, so now they're bundled up...
Brennan expertly squirted the spent fireworks to make sure they cooled down...
What a wonderful celebration! We hope yours was as fun!
