Michael Ellis is Running for RTS

Michael Ellis, Addie's incredible dad, is once again running the Lakefront Marathon in Milwaukee while raising funds for Special Friends Foundation. He runs in October and is about halfway through a pretty grueling training schedule.

The Special Friends Foundation was created by an RTS family to provide assistance to cover expenses due to RTS that are not covered by medical insurance or Medicaid.

See that neat widget on the right side? You can click on "menu" at the bottom, and then "my charity" to read more about Special Friends Foundation (or click this hyperlink). I've heard about some of the great things Special Friends Foundation has done for RTS families over the years, and I'm so glad a support system like this exists in case we ever need help.

In case you were wondering, Michael is running again. He ran last year, also raising money for Special Friends Foundation.

Go Michael!

Thanks for the support in this post! Michael is recharged for the run as we drove the 26.2 mile route the other day, just for inspiration and to show the girls.

And Natalie - Addie's dad is really grateful that you blew your whole allowance getting involved! What a generous way to help out your big RTS family.

Cheers to you all -

Hi Cindy,

Thanks so much for helping promote our fundraiser for Special Friends and for officially pushing us over the 1/2-way mark toward our overall goal!

Terri, Cate, Addie and I have met so many wonderful RTS families over the past few years and we're just thrilled to be able to do a little bit to help Special Friends continue to support them.

Thank you again and thanks also to everyone for their consideration.
