Addie's dad, Michael Ellis, finished his third marathon on Sunday. It was his second one raising funds for the Special Friends Foundation. It's not too late to show your support for Michael and all of us affected by RTS by clicking on the link to the right of this blog. The link will be there for just a few more weeks.
Here's the low down from Addie's mom, Terri, on Michael's race:
Michael looked great the whole time and aside from a little heel pain halfway through, he says he felt the best yet.
Addie loved cheering for her dad in the wind and chilly air. Some helpful fellows lifted her push chair over a rail so she got to see her dad cross the finish line up close. If it weren't for that, we might have missed it. People are good.
He really looked strong at the finish - took about 7 minutes off of last year and kept pace with his goal pretty well. He did say he thought a lot about his family as well as our big RTS family on the course - which kept him strong.
Congratulations Michael! We're so proud of you!
