Crafty Boy

Have I mentioned that Lukas loves doing crafts?  He sometimes spends several hours cutting and taping and drawing and gluing to create things...usually out of pasta boxes or cereal boxes in our recycle bin.  Yesterday he gave me a microwave oven that he made from a Kix box.  I'm drowning in crafts!

But I wanted to share something simple that he did, completely of his own idea and initiative, that doesn't look like a Kix box.  He took a whiffle ball and covered it with paper to make a pumpkin.  It's so simple and so elegant.  Tom took it to work, where it is the centerpiece of his only autumn decoration on his desk.
