Thanks for your kind comments about morning sickness. Yesterday Tom said, "Doesn't morning sickness have to do with a B vitamin deficiency?" Good thing he said that, because I ignored the "morning sickness" part of the group meeting our OB held for new moms last month...because I've never had morning sickness. Then last week I felt nauseous (without actually vomiting) and didn't want to do anything by lie down all day and sleep.
So I pulled out the paperwork from that group meeting and found the recommendations for dealing with morning sickness. First step is 200 mg of B6 every day, so I bought some B6, took it yesterday, and enjoyed a morning sickness-free day all day. I took another one today and felt great again. So I've found MY cure for morning sickness. I know it doesn't work for everyone, but so far it's working great for me.
Today I heard the baby's heartbeat at my first real OB appointment. 165 bpm. It brought a smile to my face...I had forgotten what a baby's heartbeat sounded like over Doppler, and then I heard it and recognized it. I mimicked the sound for Lukas this evening and he had fun trying to mimick me: swish swish swish.

I'm guessing a girl based on the heartbeat. I'm very happy for you Cindy. It would have been nice to have been pregnant together.
I wish I would have known about the vitamin B thing. I get so sick! If there is another time, I will certainly try it.
Oh that first heartbeat! I'm so glad you got to hear it!
