Tom figured out how to download pictures without buying a new component, so we're back in business! And just in time for a fun trip to the mountains to play in the snow (yesterday...blog posting to come!) and a family reunion with Tom's Oregon cousin, K2 and her husband, D, today.
Tom's Uncle Olav hosted 25 of us at his home. I don't do well taking still pictures with a crowd of family...maybe because I'm so used to wanting to watch the kids constantly, I'm in the habit of not even bothering with a camera anymore. I should get out of that habit, because they're doing so much better at not falling so much and not touching everything...just half the stuff! Tom took a lot of video, and captured a few stills on the video camera. Here's a picture that summed up the day for the kids (although Natalie didn't make this picture!) Lukas played Wii with his second cousins, S2 and H2, while his other second cousin, Jewelee, chaperoned the small children and Konrad looked on.
The kids had a wonderful time playing at a park near Uncle Olav's home (Aunt Patrice brought two kites which were immensely popular), then we had a wonderful meal at Olav's home, then the kids played outside and inside while the adults had lots of conversation. I know D will have more pictures of the day on his blog, so I look forward to seeing them since I was so remiss in taking pictures. We love a reason to get together with family!
