My weekend warrior

I feel like I'm in "nesting" mode...is it possible that Tom is too?  Today he completed a lot of little outdoor jobs that we'd been wanting to do but hadn't gotten to yet.

Here are the boys watching through our bedroom window.

This is what they were watching:  Tom using a chainsaw to take out the last of the lime tree.

In the afternoon, Tom used the chainsaw to remove the branch that one of our swings was on.  Did you know that wrapping a rope around a branch will kill the branch?  I did not know that!  Anyway, the branch that had held a swing for several years was dead so Tom cut it off and screwed hardware into another branch to move the swing (and he changed the way the second swing hangs so it doesn't kill that branch).  And I cannot forget to mention that the branch he cut was 20 feet high...and he was on a 20-foot ladder...and there were Santa Ana winds gusting today.  I laugh at the irony of my very safety conscious husband doing this job, but he did it, and he did it safely!  Go Tom!
