Faces of Dominik

Yesterday Tom began a week of "Mr. Mom".  He took Natalie to her therapy appointment, and even took Lukas and Konrad along so I could have a quiet morning with Dominik.  I got a few loads of laundry done and that was about it, besides taking care of Dominik.

When they arrived home, Tom took Lukas and Konrad to Disneyland and I put Natalie on the bus for school, so I had more time alone with Dominik.  During this break, I made a lot of doctor appointments for three of the kids, besides taking care of Dominik (can you believe that after weeks of waiting we had a specialist appointment scheduled for what turned out to be Dominik's birthday...had to cancel...now it's ANOTHER five-week wait for the next available appointment?)  Dishes still weren't washed (that dishwasher is supposed to be fixed today, finally!) but, hey, I bathed and ate!

But the alone time with Dominik also gave me a chance to take a few pictures of him by himself.  Before he changes (which I know will happen FAST!) here are a few of his expressions.

And this photo of Konrad and Dominik...

...reminded me a lot of this photo of Lukas and Natalie the first morning after Natalie came home from her 5-week stay in the NICU:

...and this picture of Lukas and Konrad:

 Ahh, sibling love!

C'mon, ladies, I'm not taking the laundry down to the river and rubbing it with rocks! Lukas takes the laundry to the laundry room, I sort it into light and dark and put it in the washing machine with detergent. Tom did the hard work, getting kids in and out of the car, keeping the boys occupied while Natalie's in therapy, driving to and from. Laundry's an easy chore...I haven't cleaned the bathrooms yet (much more taxing chore).

He's adorable!! I see a lot of Konrad in him. Let Natalie know that her friends at Sunday school have missed her.
