Yesterday was Natalie's last day of school, and the last day in this preschool classroom, since next year she will be in the blended preschool classroom next door. Tom took a late lunch to attend the party (Lukas and Konrad were surprised to see him there) and we all enjoyed watching Natalie sing with her class.
Natalie was quite distracted by having us in the audience. She must have interrupted her singing at least five times to say, "Hi Mommy Daddy, Hi Mommy Daddy!" But eventually she got into the rhythm and did some of the hand gestures with the class. After the performance, Natalie received the award for the "Most Welcoming" student in the class. I knew as soon as Mrs. Stacie said, "This next student is always so happy when new people come and says hi and welcomes them to class," that she was talking about Natalie.
Here's Natalie with Mrs. Stacie...
And here's Natalie with her speech therapist, Miss Becky:
Wow! I can't believe the school year is over! I know Natalie will miss her teachers, but I'm glad we'll still see them from time to time next year. The best part of school being over is no therapy for the rest of the month! We can enjoy days at home without leaving the house before 8 a.m.! What WILL I do with myself? I'm sure I'll find something!
