Ready for summer!

Yesterday (Tom's Friday off) we took the opportunity to get a bunch of things done, and we got to do it as a family!  First we dropped Tom's van off at the dealership to get it ready for our trip next month to Ohio.  Then we went to Lukas' favorite restaurant, IHOP, for breakfast.  Then we went to Tom's barber for three haircuts (Tom and the two older boys).  Now they all match Dominik's haircut!  (ok, Tom's is not that short).  This haircut will be great on our trip...no need to comb their hair in the morning or dry their hair after swimming.

Then (yes, there's more!) we visited Tom's parents while the kids played at the playground near their retirement home.  Tom's parents are moving next month to be closer to Tom's sister, Patrice, so we won't get to see them as often  :*(  but don't worry, Mom and Dad, we'll still come to visit!

Here's Tom walking with them to the park.

Natalie looking into the distance.

Who is that boy?  Oh, yeah, that's Konrad!

Natalie saying, "Hi Dominik!", a phrase that is heard in our house at least 20 times a day.

Lukas and Konrad on the merry-go-round.

Natalie being cute.

Grandma with the baby.  Grandma's don't get tired of holding babies!

Lukas working on his skateboarding moves.

After that fun-filled morning, we went home for lunch and I had a glorious nap.  Now that Natalie is out of school (and her summer school time will not let me have a nap) my naps will be fewer and further between.  Thankfully Dominik doesn't take a long time to feed at night, but I'm still getting up, so any nap I get is wonderful.

Shhhh!  I also went to Toys R Us with a gift certificate from Jim and Karla...I got some fun toys for the older kids that we'll debut on our trip.  Don't tell!
