More milestones

Lovely lighting on the smallest foot in the house and the biggest foot in the house:

and...

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have entered the "cheese" phase.  For about the first month, Dominik would spit up a little milk after feedings.  The second month, he spit up practically nothing...I started to think the burp cloths I'd invested in weren't going to get used that much.

But now we've definitely moved on to him spitting up partially digested milk, which smells much worse than milk he just drank.  Too much information?  Oh well, this is a mommy blog, and we do that sometimes.  Sorry!  So the "cheese" he's spitting up comes 15-20 minutes after feeding, and sometimes happens several times.  I remember this a lot with Lukas, but I thought it happened because Lukas ate a lot as a baby.  Dominik is a light eater, so I'm surprised he's doing it so much.

Mind you, after going through 12 months of severe reflux with Natalie (she always seemed to reflux in the car, 10 seconds down the road, and then aspirate it...which sounded terrible) what Dominik has is quite minor.

And...

Dominik rolled over today!  Right after he rolled over, I tried to get video of him doing it again, but he didn't humor me.  But the video of him looking around and talking is still fun, so here it is.  I cut it off at the end because Natalie came into the room and said "I want to hold it" which means she wants to look in the camera, which makes it hard to shoot video!  I cut it off right as she was pulling the camera out of my hands...

Cindy - Such wonderful memories you are recording. And you are doing it for the 4th child. I know in my house it's good that my younger brother looks like my older brother so when we look at slides the younger one can pretend there were pictures of him because mom and dad slacked off by the 4th child.

Thanks, Karen. Since both Tom and I are fourth children, we're determined to not have Dominik suffer the fate you describe...and we experienced! I don't know how well we'll do, but having a blog does make it easier!
