Last days of summer

Tom was explaining to Lukas that even though we haven't made it to autumn yet, Labor Day is considered the last day of summer.  Here's what we did on the "last day of summer."

Hung up the flag, and looked at it out the window:

And then wrestled (as usual) getting off the couch.

Pulled new toys out of storage for Dominik (I remember Natalie playing with this toy for YEARS with her PT).

Dominik's first time in the exersaucer...as you can see, at four months of age, the lowest setting is too low.  I moved it up a notch and it's perfect.  The other kids had to play with it too since they hadn't seen it in more than a year.  We also got the highchair down for him so he can be at our height at the table (even though he's not eating yet).

Dominik's not sure what to do with the toys, but he knows how to smile!

We haven't had enough (any?) peach cobbler this summer, so I rectified that problem.

And Tom grilled carne asada for dinner.

What a great day!  What did you do today?

What an amazing family day! I'm looking forward to summer and the opportunity to slow down the pace a bit (maybe 'change' would be a better word than 'slow down'). Love the way you "rectified" your problem. :-)
