Stop the presses!

Natalie just called me from school to tell me she used the toilet!

The past two days, there were two wet changes of clothes in a bag coming home in her backpack, but no note of any success.  That's because today was the first time!  Her teacher said she had noticed when Natalie was going the past two days, and made sure to put her on the toilet before that time today.  Miss Melanie said she thought Natalie was surprised herself when she did it.

Whoo hoo!

In similar news, Natalie asked to use the potty this morning before school (while brushing his teeth, Lukas yelled, "Natalie is playing in the toilet!")  I discovered that Natalie wasn't playing in the toilet...she had put her potty seat on top of the toilet.  When I came in, she said, "May I help?" which means "May I have help?" getting on the potty.  She didn't actually pee, but that is the first time she's asked to use the potty.

Double whoo hoo!

It's a long journey and it begins with a single step.  I feel like today is the first single step.
