Food, noses and sand

Dominik is bored with baby cereal.  The other day I was holding him while also holding an ice cream cone and he kept reaching for my ice cream with his mouth.  I decided to give it to him, absolutely sure that the coldness of it would be very off-putting for a five-month-old.  It wasn't.  He wanted more.  It was pumpkin ice cream.  The next day, he was again interested in what I was eating so I gave him some homemade hummus.  Once again, I was sure that the strong garlic and cumin flavors would be too much for his baby palate.  Once again, I was wrong.  I need to start making some baby food for him, but...

...my nose is stopped up and I am sick!  Yesterday I thought it was just a mild cold, but last night I really started stopping up and today my head is ready to explode.  I am barely keeping going with school and running Natalie to therapy, so no extras like making baby food are on the agenda.  So far my nose is the only one that's stopped up and I pray it that no one else gets sick.

In the meantime, it's not raining so Konrad can play in the sandbox.  Lukas is making a craft out of used cereal boxes and Natalie is finding letters and saying, "Let's build a word!" which is from Word World.  BTW, Natalie came home with the same pair of pants she went to school in AND also wearing underwear.  Silly me, I didn't put her on the toilet right away, so five minutes after she came home, she was wet.  I'll blame that poor choice on my exploding head.

And I'm trying to convince Dominik that since he had such a short nap to and from therapy today, he should take another right now.  He was not buying it, but I can be very convincing!

Now it's quiet.  I'm just going to lie down and see if anything catches on fire while I'm not conscious.
