We were so happy to meet Wiley yesterday! Wiley is a cute little boy with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. He's 16 months old and he was in town with his parents, Liz and Ted, and his grandparents, so they came over for a visit. Natalie had fun saying hi to Wiley, Konrad pushed him on the swing, and Lukas and Dominik said hi too.
It's so fun to meet another child with RTS...they are definitely all individuals, but often the similarities are so fun to share. Just holding him reminded me of holding Natalie as a baby, because of the way he held himself. But the differences are fun to enjoy too: Wiley is a great eater. We watched him eat salmon and sweet potato that wasn't even pureed, and he fed himself his own bottle!
Like Natalie said, "He's a cute baby!" It was wonderful to meet Wiley and his family and we hope they'll stop by again the next time they're in town.
