You can tell it's Summer Vacation when...

...the wii is on in the morning.  Usually wii is an incentive/reward for early completion of schoolwork in the afternoon...now we have to figure out how much wii will be played during the summer.  Another new thing:  Dominik is awake during wii...in the past, the older boys play while he's napping.  Since we only have two controllers, Dominik held one controller and Lukas operated the num-chuck.  Lukas wasn't too happy with that at the beginning, but he warmed up to it after a while.

You can also tell that it's summer vacation because we went to the beach!

Lukas made a friend at the beach and they played in the waves for quite some time.  Here's Lukas with seaweed that he wanted to save to decorate a sandcastle.

It was perfect beach weather...not too hot and not too cold!  The beginning of a perfect summer!
