A fit of giggles

Today I read The Owl and the Pussycat to Lukas for the first time and he collapsed in a fit of giggles several times through the reading.

It began with "You elegant fowl" and continued with "let us be married", which he thought was "lettuce be married".

But the greatest tickle came from "a runcible spoon".

And when Lukas starts giggling in this way, it is quite infectious...I couldn't stop laughing either. And laughter works for me after a busy day keeping three children from playing with electrical cords, pulling glasses off the other sibling, and dropping things on each others toes.

So try this silly nursery rhyme if you're ever in need of a fit of giggles, and check out Shannon's site for more silliness, and not-so-silliness.

One of my favorites!

The owl and the pussycat went to sea in a beautiful pea green boat...

When my kids asked what a runcible spoon was I replied that it's what they give you at KFC when you order mashed potatoes... 'Cause we are classy like that!
