Change of plans

Today Natalie had OT at 8 am and we were supposed to go to CHOC at 10 am for swallowing therapy, but Lukas changed those plans.

It all started at 8 am when I told him to pick up his pajamas and put them away. He refused, for the next 1.5 hours. I called to cancel our 10 am appointment and it took until almost 10 am before he complied. The next hour was spent in him continuing to test me. We're in a lull right now, but it could continue this afternoon.

Our schedule is so hard on us, because there are no days where we are at home all morning, so the opportunity to train Lukas on a consistent basis is made more difficult...training takes place for an hour here or an hour there, on the way to or from something. I've really noticed his disobedience becoming more flagrant in the past week or two, and yesterday should have given me a warning of what today would be like! Not that what he's doing isn't what every three year old does, but we're not at home as much as we should be to work with him on his behavior.

Tom and I pray that Natalie will be swallowing liquids soon so we can stop the CHOC visits three times a week and get on a more normal schedule, for all of our sakes, but mostly for Lukas'.
