Yes, we're still hot!

Today is the third day of 90+ degree weather with humidity in the teens. Thankfully tomorrow is supposed to be the beginning of a cooling trend, hopefully with the air coming off the ocean, not off the desert. Last night we broke out the pool again and the kids had a marvelous time...Natalie doesn't stop cooing the whole time and Lukas is jumping in and out of the pool.

Today we ordered glasses for Natalie. Since they're being paid for by Medi-Cal, we have to wait 3-4 weeks, but I will post pictures of a bespectacled Natalie as soon as the glasses arrive. I always feed Natalie in the morning with my glasses on (before I put on contacts), and this morning I put my glasses on her. I immediately saw an expression of wonder in her eyes, and she kept staring on the flowers on the table, as if to say, "I always wondered what those blobs of white were!" My glasses aren't strong enough for her, but they surely make things a little less blurry than she normally sees. We're hoping that glasses will also encourage her to move toward things she sees across the room.
