Marbleworks

At CHOC , there weren't any treatment rooms available so Natalie had therapy in the gymnasium and I kept Lukas occupied for an hour. Usually we have an enclosed treatment room that Lukas and I can stay in while Natalie's getting therapy, and Lukas loves playing with all the different toys they have.

Lukas is a little too active and can be distracting to the other kids in the gym getting treatment, so we played at the outdoor playground before it got too hot, then ran up and down the long underground hallway between CHOC and St. Joseph's. Not my favorite way to spend the therapy session, but it's the first time it's ever happened, so hopefully it won't happen again before we're done.

After CHOC, we went to Karen's house and had lunch with her and Hannah. Lukas loves playing with Hannah, who is 6 years old and is very accommodating to Lukas' energy. Lukas especially loves a game Hannah has, called Marbleworks, by Discovery Toys. After he left, he kept asking where we could get a set...it combines two things he loves: putting pieces together and balls rolling around (marbles, in this case). I'll have to see if we can order it online since I haven't been to a Discovery Toys party in a while.

I had a great time chatting with Karen and Natalie enjoyed playing with cups and books. It was a nice afternoon visit!
