We had scheduled today as the day to move Lukas and Natalie into their new bedroom, and they were both very excited. Last night Tom covered the ceiling with 150 glow-in-the-dark stars. Here he is putting up the constellation Ursa Major (we picked about 10 constellations to represent with the stars on the ceiling). Here's a picture of them checking out the new mirror on their wall. Next pic: they're both ready for bed and Tom is reading them a story on Lukas' new bed with the solar system comforter. Lukas is covering his eyes because he doesn't want to see the pictures in the book Tom is reading...one of those "Lukas things." Natalie's crib will have a purple theme to complement the teal walls. And over their new dresser is a Moon in my Room, which is a nightlight that goes through the phases of the moon for 30 minutes. And, of course, the glow in the dark constellation ceiling!
We put up roller blinds for the windows and I still need to find or make curtains to cover the windows for privacy when we want the blinds up for natural light. Of course, there are many other little details, but I'm happy with our progress today.
Lukas has been beside himself with excitement at sleeping in his new room and new bed. Natalie likes the room, but was crying for a long time (for her) when she went to bed. I think it might take her a couple nights to get used to the new room.
Now it's time to get the nursery set up for a newborn again!

Wow - the room looks amazing! Doing stuff at home is one of my greatest weaknesses, so this is even more impressive to me...
Thanks, D! We're excited about it too.
