Yesterday while Natalie was getting OT at home, Lukas announced, "Mommy, can you do homeschooling with me?" I was a little surprised because I never use that word with him. I always say, "lessons" or "school." I assume he picked it up from some of his other homeschooling friends at church/Bible study.
Since I didn't have time to give him my complete attention, I gave him a book of mazes he's been working on. Then this morning while Natalie napped, we went back to our reading lessons, or "learning sounds." We hadn't worked on it in about a month and Lukas remembered so many of the sounds! I was really happy with how he did (very little review required), and his interest level and the amount of time he was interested in spending on it. He also showed more interest and aptitude in writing: copying letters I make for him, or "writing sounds."
Now I just need to put the time in with him before the baby comes, because I don't know how much time I will have when the wee one gets here!
