Bird watching

Today we went to the Bolsa Chica bird sanctuary. We hadn't been there in a while (there had been construction in the estuary...and then other things took precedence) so it was fun to come back. Lukas remembered being there, but it must have been at least a year since we were last there.

Here's Tom pushing Natalie and Konrad in the stroller and Lukas walking beside. Then there's Lukas with a great egret. Lukas had fun throwing pieces of gravel down the embankment (he never quite made it to the water). I had to stop him when he started throwing rocks at the birds, though, "I'm feeding the birds, Mom!" He somehow couldn't get the concept that birds don't eat rocks.
