Whew!

We made it through Konrad's baptism! Our pastor commented as we came on stage that we were calm because we were experienced parents, but really we were quite nervous because now we had three children who could suddenly have a screaming fit. Thankfully, everything went well: Konrad didn't cry or throw up on anyone, Natalie sat quietly with her pacy (except when she smiled at the pastor when he tried to shake her hand at the end) and Lukas waved at Irene when he saw her in the audience (he hadn't seen her in over a month since she had been out of town and he had missed her quite a bit).

We were blessed that Tom's parents, Uncle Olav, cousin Jean and niece Jewelee and her friend Amanda came to share this special day with us. After church we went to lunch and once again everything went well (for having three small children, it went VERY well). Thanks to Jean for helping out at lunch!

And thanks to Jim for taking pictures and David for taking video. I don't know what causes the funny shadows in this picture (maybe the overhead fluorescents?) but it's the best one of the five of us (as we're preparing to leave the stage).

I hadn't realized I was so nervous about today until it's over!
