A playground too far

So we made it to the park today! We loaded the stroller with Natalie and Konrad and Lukas rode his trike, maybe 3/4 of a mile, to a playground, where the kids played for a while (Konrad slept throughout) and then we walked back to the car.

Shortly after we started back, Natalie got tired and wanted to put her feet on the stroller wheels. Since she'd already taken her socks off more times than we could count, she was riding barefoot, and didn't seem to learn that the friction of putting her feet on the wheels would hurt. We came to another playground, where Tom left us to go get the car and come pick us up.

Next time we'll walk around a bit, then play at a playground near our car, so when it's time to go and everyone is tired, we don't have to go so far.

Lukas did great keeping up, but this afternoon he was obviously more tired than normal, and actually went to bed about one hour early.

Besides having a successful family outing, Tom also got the Christmas lights down from the exterior of our home, and I finally boxed up my maternity wardrobe! Our goals on a weekend have drastically decreased. We didn't get everything done that we'd hoped to, but that's ok!
