Today we went to get the kids' first portrait sitting together (and Konrad's first professional pictures). Of course I would not attempt this alone, so we scheduled it on a Friday off for Tom.
I hadn't attempted 2 kids alone, and definitely would not with 3...although having Konrad is no more work than 2...except that Natalie also needs to be spotted to keep from falling...ok, it is more work than 2 kids!
But anyway, it went great! We got great pictures of the three of them together, then each one individually. Lukas listened and posed well (we got a great shot of him), Natalie smiles better than anyone (she looks like a princess), and Konrad only gurgled cottage cheese once (ok, he's a baby, so he'll be cute in any pose). We were so pleased and can't wait to receive our order.
The backstory: Konrad normally poops once a day, often twice (avid readers know this is an important subject in our house). Yesterday he didn't poop at all, so I have been expecting it for some time. I was certain it was going to happen during the photo shoot, and create the mess to end all messes. But it didn't! He finally went this afternoon after a nap. Whoo hoo!
