A Train Day

It's our family's tradition to attend the Fullerton Railroad Days each year (at least since Lukas was 1), and today we went for the fourth year. It's amazing how many train geeks come out of the woodwork, and families with little kids, especially boys with train hats, show up to look at the big trains and see what people spend too much money on (their model train hobby!)

Last year Tom took Lukas by himself (I think because Natalie was sick?), but this year the whole family attended. Thankfully, we weren't nearby the huge steam locomotive when it sounded its whistle, or it might have made Konrad deaf for life...or at least scared him out of his diaper!

This year we stood in line to walk in the engineer's compartment of the BNSF diesel locomotive, and Lukas got to play every man's dream of driving it.

Natalie had a great time looking at the trains too. Konrad just wanted to sleep!
