After many false starts and wondering if Konrad would ever eat solid food, I'm happy to report that he's been eating solid food well for two months now. And he's even progressed to table food, ground up in a food mill.
Here's what he had for dinner tonight. Can't tell what it is? I'll let you look at it, click to enlarge the picture, and think about it a little. I'll leave the answer at the end of the post, so as not to spoil it for those who enjoy guessing.
In addition to the food shown in the picture, he has also enjoyed chili, chicken salad, and last night at Souplantation, our favorite restaurant for kids, he scarfed down a ton of food, made tiny with this food mill. I apologize to all our fellow dinner guests who were subjected to Konrad's pteradactyl-like scream for food. We have trained him to scream for food (obviously not on purpose...but when we give him food when he screams--to get him to be quiet--that's training him to scream for food), and now we PURPOSEFULLY have to train him not to scream for food.
Raise your hand if you used this food mill too! Yep, I know there are a lot of happy customers out there. And I'm happy to be able to just take the food mill to a restaurant and not have to thaw baby food cubes all the time. I still use the baby food cubes, but only when it's a meal that doesn't translate well in a food mill...like sandwiches. Somehow sandwiches doesn't seem appetizing through a food mill. But this does? Yes!
Ok, have you guessed it yet?
It's Beef Stroganoff on egg noodles. Yum! I'm off to make some baby food cubes out of it.

wow. I never would have guessed that's what it was! LOL I had a food mill that was bought for me for Austin (before his diagnosis) but I only used it twice! Looking back, I wish I had used it more.
