Lukas' new obsession is making signs for things. He's already made his second rock garden sign (it says "Do not take rocks from my rock garden"...although it isn't spelled that way, of course). He got this idea from one of his favorite story books, The Night Vegetable Eater.Today, when I was correcting Natalie about crossing the Line, Lukas decided to write in chalk, "Doo not cros this lin." And then he said, "Natalie, read the sign. 'Do not cross this line!'"
There's a theme here: he seems to like making instructive signs, or prohibitive signs. Hmmm. At least he's practicing spelling (I haven't practiced spelling with him yet...we only work on reading and writing letters. He sounds words out on his own as he writes them.)

As I am looking at your blog, Ava said "there's that boy. I want to watch that video when he talks about poop". I asked her if she wanted to say "hi" to him and she said yes. So here is a "Hello" from Ava to Lucas.
