The first day report

Natalie had soooo much fun today! How much fun did she have? She had soooo much fun, she fell asleep on the bus for the 10-minute ride home. I had her unbuckled before she woke up, a little startled, in time to wave bye to her bus driver.

Here's the email her teacher sent me this afternoon:

Mrs. {}
I wanted to let you know that Natalie did very well today. She mostly was just walking around exploring everything. Today she made a stocking, played in the sand table, played with puzzles, and participated in music activities. Outside she was a little wobbly going up and down the stairs and slides but she manuevered the climber with no accidents. She also pushed herself on the scooter board around the playground. The children are very excited about having another friend at school, and she got along well with everyone today. Sitting in circle is difficult for her, but she is very young and with time it will get easier for her. Overall she had a great day and I think she is going to fit into the classroom wonderfully.
Have a good weekend,
Ms. Stacie

I asked Natalie about some of the things Ms. Stacie mentioned and she smiled and signed "yes" a lot. Her smile told me she had a lot of fun, just as we knew she would.

It will definitely be an adjustment period for us with Natalie's new school schedule: she gets home from school 75 minutes after her nap time and Konrad is about to wake up when she comes home and goes down for a nap. I think I'll try to move Konrad's nap time a little later. But we're thrilled that she really seemed to enjoy her day.
